A bus tour of the Yamba Dam area will begin operation on April 27! Part of the funds is being collected through crowdfunding!

Dts creation Inc. (Location: Naganohara-machi, Gunma Prefecture; Representative: Yuji Tomizawa), a venture company originating from the Yamba/Kusatsu Onsen area, will start operating a new excursion bus, "Yamba Gurururin," on April 27, 2024, connecting the Yamba Dam area with Kusatsu Onsen and Naganowara-Kusatsuguchi Station to promote tourism in the Yamba Dam area. The bus service will start on April 27, 2024. The project is currently being funded in part through crowdfunding. On April 26, we will hold an opening ceremony at our new office building next to Naganohara-Kusatsuguchi Station.

Background of the "Yamba Gurururin" bus service

With the completion of the Yamba Dam in 2020, the number of tourist facilities in the surrounding area has increased, but accessibility has been difficult. While many visitors come to the area around the Yamba Dam by public transportation, there is no means of transportation by secondary means, and it is difficult to go around the tourist facilities, as it is 2.9 km from the JR Agatsuma Line "Naganoharakusatsuguchi Station," which is the starting point for sightseeing, to "Yamba Lake Station Maruwa," which is the shortest distance, and 7.2 km from "the Yamba Dam itself.

In these days of declining private car ownership and rising fuel costs, it is extremely important for tourist destinations to be able to offer sightseeing without the need for a private car. In order to solve this transportation problem, we have decided to operate a sightseeing bus service in order to promote the development of Naganohara-machi and tourism.

About the bus service

Our new excursion bus "Yamba-Gurururin" is a route bus that comprehensively connects Kusatsu Onsen and Naganohara-Kusatsu-guchi Station to various tourist facilities in the Yamba Dam area. The bus operates daily, 365 days a year (except for inspection and training days).

Furthermore, since there are no bus routes in the Yokogabe and Hayashi areas, this bus service will contribute to improving the convenience of daily life for local residents and will also function as a mobility aid for the elderly.

The tour bus will also be connected to the "Dts line Yamba-Kusatsu Onsen" express bus and the "Nyagaten" Yamba Dam amphibious bus, both of which are currently in operation from Tokyo, to establish our own transportation network and improve convenience for our customers.
