Food Atelier mori. (located in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture) is pleased to announce that its representative, Yasuyo Noda, has named her work of connecting people through cooking "Food Connector" and will start full-scale activities in February 2024.
As a freelance chef, food connector, and hunter with three faces, he will be involved in activities such as providing on-site meals to enjoy Izu's high quality gibier, developing menus for restaurants, branding producers, and promoting the charm of eastern Shizuoka Prefecture, a treasure trove of food resources.

◆Profile
Born in 1980 in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture. After going to college, he once found a job but could not give up his dream of becoming a chef, so he re-entered culinary school and obtained a chef's license. Currently, in addition to being involved in community revitalization projects, he travels around the country as a freelance chef, a "food connector" who connects people through cooking, and a hunter. She is also active in promoting the food of eastern Shizuoka Prefecture by exhibiting at events and giving lectures, and she and her daughter focus on disseminating information about wild game they have captured and dismantled themselves.

How "Food Connector" started
In the past few years, I have witnessed restaurants and producers facing various challenges such as the Corona disaster, soaring prices, and labor shortages. Noda, who had been working as a hunter and freelance chef, began to receive consultations on menu development for restaurants and direct sales and branding for producers. He decided to start full-fledged activities to become a bridge between restaurants, producers, and consumers, and to support and enliven the local community as a "food connector" connecting people through cuisine.

Slowly cooked at a low temperature, the red meat of the gibier is soft and tender, with a light but full flavor and rich in nutrients such as iron and vitamin B1. It is a fascinating food for first-timers to try.

Support for Restaurants and Producers
Based on our experience in the restaurant industry, we provide support for restaurant menu development, tableware, kitchen equipment, and flow line proposals, as well as direct sales and branding support for producers of food goods, utilizing our connections with restaurants.
Support fee: From 10,000 yen (tax included) per visit *Fee will be determined based on the content and duration of the consultation.
Promoting the food culture of eastern Shizuoka Prefecture
We conduct PR activities at food events in and outside of Shizuoka Prefecture to spread the appeal of delicious food from eastern Shizuoka Prefecture.
Promotion and Education of Hunting and Game Culture
As a hunter, I promote hunting and gibier culture and food education at educational institutions in various regions. We accept requests for lecturers. Please contact us for the fee.

We provided advice on plates, cooking utensils, and menus for the opening of a bar adjacent to a distillery. Mr. Noda's suggestions were based on what he knew to be practical as a person with experience, so we were all convinced, including the flow line. He had a good grasp of what we needed to prioritize, and was very helpful in scheduling what we would need now and what we would need later. We hope to have their support again in the future." ◆Future Prospects
We are planning to hold a gibier business trip cooking at the Izu City Meat Processing Center "Izu Deer Wholesaler" event to commemorate the 10,000 head brought in, and a "Deer Night" where venison snacks are served at Whiskey&Co.'s bar. In addition, we will also give vocational lectures at local elementary and junior high schools, and disseminate gibier cooking videos and information about producers and their products on Instagram.
Eastern Shizuoka Prefecture is a treasure trove of food resources. It is my hope that more and more people will be able to boast about their hometowns through food. I would be especially happy if I can create opportunities for the younger generation who are leaving for the cities to meet new people and discover the charms of their hometowns.
