Chichibu Railway Company, Hoto Kogyo Co. Nagatoro Trick Art Yurin Club, an all-weather facility that opened last year, will be partially replaced by a new exhibit in December 2023, as well as Setsubun and Valentine's Day events at Hodosan Small Animal Park, and the Ichiro's Malt Nagatoro Tea House BAR, where visitors can taste Chichibu whiskey for a limited time. Nagatoro Hotoen Plum Orchard

Hodosan (497 meters above sea level), is planted with a total of about 3,000 waxwine plants of five varieties, including a new species of waxwine (Fukurokuju), also known as "Hodo no Kagayaki (The Brightness of Hodo)," which has been added to the garden this season. On a clear day, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Mt. Takekou, Mt. Ryogami, and the town of Chichibu from the top of the mountain, and enjoy the rich sweet fragrance of the wax gourd and the best location in the Kanto region.

＜What is Japanese allspice?

The Japanese waxwine is a deciduous tree native to China belonging to the waxwine family of the camphoraceae family. The small yellow flowers are glossy like waxwork and have a sweet, rich fragrance, as the name "Wintersweet" in English implies.

Nagatoro Hotozan Plum Blossom Garden

Located in front of the Hodosan ropeway summit station, the Ume Hyakkaen (Plum Blossom Garden) began planting ume trees in 1986 and now has the largest variety of ume trees in the Kanto area, including early-blooming winter solstice and kankoubai, the three famous flowers of the moon (full moon, moon of every tan and moon of the ocean), famous flowers and rare flowers.

(3) Part of "Nagatoro Trick Art Yurin Club" exhibition will be renewed

Opened on February 25, 2023 (Sat.), it is an interactive art facility that incorporates various trick elements, including visual illusions and three-dimensional tricks. In December 2023, some of the exhibits were replaced with new ones so that visitors can see new trick arts no matter how many times they visit.

The facility is also equipped with a rest area where visitors can enjoy the Japanese garden, making it possible for a wide range of visitors to enjoy the experience regardless of weather conditions.
