February 13, 2024 at the "34th Annual Pet New Industry People's Conference, Official announcement of a large-scale animal event to be held in 2024

The Japan Animal Pick Committee (1-26-2 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Japan, Representative Director: Masaki Kobayashi, COREZON Corporation, 32F, Shinjuku Nomura Building), FEELD GOOD FES. The event will be held at Hamanako Garden Park (5475-1, Muragushi-cho, Nishi-ku, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture) from September 30 (Sat.) to October 1 (Sun.), 2023, as one of the largest outdoor events combining pets and outdoor activities in Japan. The number of visitors to the two-day event was 26,000, and the number of pets that came to the event was 26,000.

We are pleased to report that the event was a great success, with 26,054 visitors and 7,861 pets visiting the event over the two days (*1).

HOPE with Animals - Creating a Hopeful Society with Animals

HOPE" stands for Health, One welfare, Peace, and Education, and this event was held to symbolize the value of animal care in the philosophy of "HOPE with Animals. We plan to hold this event on an ongoing basis with the aim of educating people about the value of animal care through fun and games.

The event was supported by Shizuoka Prefecture and the Shizuoka Prefectural Board of Education, Hamamatsu City and the Hamamatsu City Board of Education, Kosai City, and a number of pet-related industry organizations, making this one of the largest outdoor pet events in Japan, transcending the boundaries of the pet industry.

We are planning to further expand the event in 2024, and will make an official announcement at the following event.

＜Reasons for selecting Lake Hamanako as a model area for animal-assisted local development projects

Hamamatsu City has the highest dog ownership rate in Japan.

Hamamatsu City has the highest rate of dog ownership among ordinance-designated cities in Japan (*2), and is an area with many dog lovers by national standards. Hamamatsu City is also proactive about pet life, as evidenced by the fact that the city government operates a website that introduces sightseeing tours that you can enjoy with your dog, such as "Hamanako Wanko Tabi" (Lake Hamana Dog Trip), and there are many sports and activities that you can enjoy with your pet.

■Realization of the Lake Hamana Dog Marine Sanctuary Concept

Lake Hamana is a brackish lake where seawater and freshwater mix, and boasts the fourth largest area in Japan. It is also a sacred place for marine sports, with beach marine sports competitions and events flourishing, and its tourism resources are being fully utilized.

The number of dogs kept in Lake Hamana is in proportion to their healthy life expectancy, and we believe that if animal intervention measures are added to Lake Hamana as a sacred place for marine sports, the high attractiveness of pets will make it a more powerful local development project, and we will be able to transmit the new charm of Lake Hamana to the rest of the country.

We have selected Lake Hamana as a model district, and will continue to hold this event and others to expand animal-mediated local development projects from Hamamatsu to Shizuoka Prefecture, and then to the rest of Japan.

In 2024, we would like to establish a base for dog marine sports in Hamanako in conjunction with COREZON Corporation (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Masaki Kobayashi / Retizo Kubo), and we are in the process of exchanging information with a variety of companies.

We are currently in the process of exchanging information with various companies and organizations that are interested in establishing a base for dog marinesport activities in Lake Hamana.
