S&F Corporation (Location: Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Yuzuru Ogura) has invited Masahiro Kawane, a former member of Saginuma Swimming Club, currently a member of Tsukasa Dolphin, and a representative of Japan in the World Swimming Championships 2023, to give a special lecture, "My Life in Swimming - A Course to Achieve My Goals," on Sunday, November 19, 2023 in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Saginuma Swimming Club invited Masahiro Kawane, a Japanese national swimmer, to give a special lecture, sharing stories about his swimming career and how he achieved his goals. During the event, he also addressed children and their parents about balancing sports and academics and the importance of trusting relationships.

■Balancing Swimming and Academics, Learning from Kawane's Experience

Focusing on the challenges and concerns that children face while engaging in sports, Kawane gave a thought-provoking talk on the balance between swimming and academics in particular. Through his own experiences, Kawane spoke in detail about how to tackle both practice and academics, and how to build trusting relationships with coaches, athletes, and parents.

■58 people attended the lecture, spreading sympathy

A total of 58 people attended the event, including children struggling with swimming and their supportive parents. The children empathized with Kawane's story and commented, "It was helpful for me to know how I should deal with swimming in the future," and "I have not been good at communicating my thoughts to coaches and parents, but I will try to do it in the future," while parents who attended the event commented, "I think I should respect my children's feelings and not talk to them too much. I will try not to talk too much about it," said a parent who participated in the workshop.
