Enjoy Autumn Foliage in Ito! Autumn Foliage at Ippekiko & Maruyama Park in Early December

Ito City (Government Office: Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture; Mayor: Tatsuya Ono) is pleased to announce that the autumn foliage will be at its best around the beginning of December 2023 at Lake Ippeki and Maruyama Park.

Lake Ippekiko 1

Lake Ippekiko is also known as the "Eye of Izu. The lake is a crater lake formed by an eruption about 100,000 years ago. The surrounding mountains, green trees, and white clouds in the sky are usually reflected on the surface of the lake, attracting visitors. During the fall foliage season, the beautiful lake is decorated with bright red trees, creating a fantastic atmosphere as the "upside-down maple leaves" are reflected on the surface of the lake.

Maruyama Park, where visitors can enjoy seasonal scenery, is a nature park where "green and water" are in harmony, with the murmuring of the Ozawa River and groves of trees creating a tranquil atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a variety of scenery: plum blossoms in early spring, cherry blossoms in spring, irises in early summer, and autumn leaves in fall.

It is an easily accessible autumn foliage spot, about 80 minutes from central Tokyo by train and about 90 minutes by car from the Atsugi Interchange on the Tomei Expressway. It is a perfect place for families and couples to create memories together.
