Loftman and Yonetomi plan to launch a new knitwear line Driver's knit with knitting between two legs is now on sale ～Cashmere knitwear that can be washed and nurtured

Loftman Inc. (Head office: Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto; Representative Director: Makoto Kimura), a boutique store mainly in the Kansai region, has begun selling cashmere drivers' knitwear from November 2023, after having commissioned Yonetomi, an original brand of high quality knitwear based in Yamagata Prefecture, to make a special order. (Headquarters: Yamabe-cho, Higashimurayama-gun, Yamagata Prefecture), a Yamagata-based company that develops high quality knitwear.

Loftman has been developing original products through special-order projects with brands it handles. For this special order product, we have planned a double-breaved driver's knit made of "wash-and-grow cashmere" with Yonetomi, with whom we have worked together in the past.

This time, Yonetomi has arranged its main product, Rigid Cashmere (an original fabric made of unwashed and undyed cashmere yarn that overturns the conventional concept of cashmere knitwear, which is considered difficult to wash), to produce a washable knit. After a year of trial and error, we have achieved an exquisite balance of washability without shrinkage by using a stretchy ribbed fabric. It is characterized by high warmth retention, a sense of fit unique to the knitting between the two beds, and the smooth feel of the cashmere.

For the launch of this special-order product, we conducted a factory tour and interview with Yonetomi Textile Co. A special feature page has been published to coincide with the product launch.
