The magic of miniatures! Here is a creator's small winter world!

In this exhibition, the works on display have been renewed based on new works so that past visitors can also enjoy them. In addition, the creators will provide explanations so that visitors can enjoy the world of miniature art even more deeply. We hope you will enjoy the new view of the world more deeply. Many of the exhibiting artists are creators who have been showing their works on social networking services, so this is a rare opportunity to see their works in person.

Among the works that will be on display, "YYY DESK (@yuruyellow_desk)," which has more than 10,000 followers on Instagram, will showcase a new 1/12th size "winter camp" themed work, and "Chinatsu Miyake (@mini_chinatsu)" will present a new work based on the theme of "winter camp". K.C. Factory (@fanlab.kokoro) will recreate an authentic European Christmas market, displaying a three-dimensional work made from over 1,000 parts for the first time.

Kugenuma Kobo (@miniaturehouse_maker_fujisawa) will exhibit 5 works including a nostalgic retro bookstore and a book nook of a stable, as well as various other three-dimensional works.

What is the "World of Miniature Photography Exhibition"?

Miniature models are so elaborately made that they look like the real thing. Each work is a condensed version of the artist's worldview, in which he or she has paid attention to every detail. Usually, most people think of a "miniature art exhibition" only as a display of miniature works, but this exhibition is much more elaborate and includes a display of photographic works at the same time. The artist creates miniatures of landscapes and objects that he or she wants to express, and then photographs and expresses these miniatures.

If models are long in time, photography is a momentary, once-in-a-lifetime art form. "If you look at it thinking it is a photograph, it is a fictional world that has been created." In this exhibition, we invite visitors to get lost in the world of miniatures by displaying both photographic and three-dimensional works at the same time. In addition, since photography is allowed throughout the museum, visitors can take pictures from a variety of angles to capture and post their own unique piece on SNS.
