Chichibu Railway Company, Chichitetsu Shoji Co. (Head Office: Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture; President: Akira Yagi) will hold the "Autumn Chichibu Sake Fair 2023 in Nagatoro" on Saturday, November 11, 2023, and the "Chichibu Autumn Sake Fair 2023 in Nagatoro" on Saturday and Sunday, November 12, 2023, in preparation for the autumn leaf viewing season in the Chichibu and Nagatoro areas, On November 12 (Sun), "Chichitetsu Station Festival in Yorii Station South Exit" will be held, and on November 18 (Sat) and 19 (Sun), "Eki de Autumn Marche in Nagatoro" will be held in front of Nagatoro Station.

About Chichibu Autumn Sake Fair 2023 in Nagatoro

On Saturday, November 11, 2023, "Autumn Chichibu Sake Fair 2023 in Nagatoro" will be held at the plaza in front of Nagatoro Station, where you can enjoy eating and drinking five kinds of Chichibu local sake and the gourmet food that goes with them.

The Chichibu region's local sake producers include Yao Honten, which produces Chichibu Nishiki, Chichibu's famous sake; Fujisaki Sobei Shoten Nagatoro Brewery, which makes sake in Nagatoro; Usada Winery, which makes wine from grapes grown in the Yoshida Usada area of Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture; and the Chichibu region's Chichibu Beer, the first craft beer brewery in the Chichibu area, Ichiro's Malt, a world-renowned venture whiskey, and BAR Te-Airigh, which stocks many whiskeys from around the world.

Sake will be available for purchase on the day of the event by purchasing an exclusive ticket (2,000 yen (tax included) / 500 yen for a set of four tickets). Purchasers of the tickets will be eligible to enter a drawing for a free bottle of Ichiro's Malt and a free bottle of Ichiro's Malt & Grain White Label to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the SL Paleo Express.

The autumn foliage in the Nagatoro area is usually at its best from mid to late November, so please enjoy the autumn foliage viewing at Nagatoro Rock Tatami, Hodo Mountain, and Tsuki no Ishi Momiji Park, which are designated as scenic spots and natural monuments.
