Implementation of Experiential Learning Programs Utilizing VR in Two Indian Schools Realized with the Collaboration of Keio University's India Japan Laboratory(IJL)

C sagyoba Co., a company dedicated to proposing and promoting the expansion of education through XR (XRedu), led by CEO Sachiko Takane and headquartered in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, implemented an experiential learning program utilizing VR (Virtual Reality) in two Indian schools in collaboration with Keio University's India Japan Lab (IJL).On September 27, 2023, the program was conducted at the "Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar School of Specialized Excellence" in Delhi, and on September 29, 2023, at the "Amity International School" in Noida, providing a learning environment for students aged 11 to 14.

Presentation

The execution of this VR (Virtual Reality) experiential learning program, centered around SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), was achieved through collaboration with various parties, including Professor Rajib Shaw, the head of Keio University's India Japan Lab (IJL), members of the research institute, the Technology Innovation Hub of IIT Delhi (IHFC), and stakeholders from the participating schools.

We conducted an experiential learning program utilizing VR (Virtual Reality) with the theme of "Expansion of learning methods using XR: Let's create the energy stations of the future."

Title

Students were enthusiastic about their first VR experience and learning methods. They expressed their ideas in group work by creating VR scenes and actively presented their ideas.

This program had previously been conducted in Japan in July. By successfully implementing it in India, we were able to convey the message that young people who will shape the next generation can now share ideas in the metaverse that might have been challenging to share in physical settings, fostering mutual growth and collaboration.
