Miichan's Confectionary Workshop (Location: Omihachiman City, Shiga Prefecture; Representative: Chisato Suginohara), a 16-year-old pastry chef and store manager who expresses her feelings through sweets, will open a new store in the virtual store newly developed by AEON MALL Co.

Aeon Mall's concept, "Flowering Metaverse," aims to bring a variety of talents to participate in society and self-actualization in the next generation virtual city, and to make them bloom in the world of Metaverse as well as in the real Aeon Mall. The store's future vision matches ours, so we decided to open a new store that is free from time and space constraints for future visits, with the idea of a "metaverse that can be used on a daily basis" in mind.

The community "Shining children" that we operate is a project to support the independence of people with handicaps and those who have difficulties in life, and provides an environment where people who have difficulties in social participation in real society can get together and participate in social activities such as Metaverse. Through various events, we have transformed their individuality into self-confidence. With the opening of the new store, we will work towards a society where people with difficulties in living can live their lives as they wish, as a new step in our activities.

Effects and achievements to date by Metaverse

We have been able to verify that our patissier Miichan, who has difficulty serving customers in a real store, can easily serve customers in the Metaverse. In addition, Mii-chan, who had difficulty making friends in real life, began to see her avatar friends in real life as she played with them in the Metaverse, and Metaverse has contributed greatly to creating opportunities for communication and a step toward social participation.

Future Vision

People who have difficulty going out alone can visit a virtual store. In the Metaverse, there is no physical disadvantage. Together with AEON MALL Co., Ltd. we aim to create the most familiar virtual space where people who need support in the real world and who have been considered difficult to work in the past can serve customers as a matter of course.

Outline of the Aeon Mall Virtual Store in "REV WORLDS

The AEON Mall Virtual Store will be a new space opened within "REV WORLDS," a virtual city communication platform developed and operated by Isetan Mitsukoshi Ltd. REV WORLDS" is a virtual city that reproduces part of the Shinjuku East Exit area and the Isetan Shinjuku flagship store, and can be accessed 24 hours a day from anywhere.

In addition to shopping at a wide variety of stores in the "Entertainment Area," the "Active Transmission - Flowering Area," and the "New Encounters - Exploration Area," users can enjoy a variety of content, including games and other forms of entertainment.
