Artists from Chichibu Railway Line and Saitama Prefecture to Perform Music festival "NAGATORO AUTUMN FES" will be held on November 23 (Thursday, national holiday)

Chichibu Railway Company (Head Office: Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture; President: Hidenobu Makino) will hold a music festival "NAGATORO AUTUMN FES" on November 23, 2023 (Thursday, national holiday), featuring artists associated with Chichibu Railway lines and Saitama Prefecture.

The event will be held in cooperation with FM Kumagaya, a community FM station in Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture, and is planned to allow visitors to enjoy music and local sake as well as local delicacies in Nagatoro, an area rich in nature where the autumn foliage season is approaching. Each artist will perform for 40-60 minutes, which is relatively long for a festival.

The SL Paleo Express, a convenient way to get to the event, will be running with a special head mark to commemorate the event. Passengers with the following Chichibu Railway tickets will receive a commemorative gift at the entrance.

About the artists

(1) Kazuyuki Aijima & The Blues Jumpers

Kazuyuki Aijima is an actor and singer from Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture. As an actor, he has appeared in many NHK Taiga Dramas, TV serials and TV Asahi's "Partners". He met YASS, who was the music director for the drama in which Kazuyuki Aijima appeared, and they hit it off over their mutual love of the blues, forming the four-piece blues band "Kazuyuki Aijima & The Blues Jumpers" in March 2010. The band is mischievous, humorous, cool, and a bit pathetic, and their live performances are both funny and tearful.

(2) Toshihide Baba

A singer-songwriter from Yorii-machi, Saitama Prefecture. His lyrics are full of stories and vividly portray the characters in his songs, which have won the support of a wide range of generations. Since 2016, she has been a regular Tuesday personality on TV Saitama's information program "Machi Komi.

(3) Tsuchiya Karen

Singer-songwriter from Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. She started her music career as a drummer in a band during her high school years.

In 2021, she started her career as a singer-songwriter in earnest, and has released six works for distribution since June 2021. He has since released "Mayday" and "Katsushi-Allergic".

A fun unit consisting of "Nobo Nohara," who plays the role of Nagachika Narita, a member of the Oshijo Omotenashi Armor Squad, and "Motohide Uno," the director of FM Kumagaya and a former professional musician, who is active mainly in Gyoda City, Saitama Prefecture. They have written PR songs for supermarkets, cafeterias, and the traditional craft of "Minamigawara slippers" in Minamigawara, Gyoda City, Saitama Prefecture, to enliven the local community.

The SL Paleo Express celebrated its 35th anniversary in March 1988, and will make a round trip between Kumagaya and Mibuguchi of Chichibu Railway once a day in 2023, mainly on weekends and holidays until December 3 (Sunday). In addition to the ticket for the section of the train, an SL reserved-seat ticket is required. All cars have reserved seats, so please make a reservation from 0:00 a.m. one month prior to the boarding date via the "SL Reservation System" service on the Chichibu Railway website.

This is the first attempt to hold a music festival using the parking lot of Chichibu Railway Sightseeing Bus Nagatoro Jidosha Automobile Office. Located within a 3-minute walk from Chichibu Railway Nagatoro Station, the gateway to Nagatoro tourism, there are many sightseeing spots within walking distance, including Nagatoro Line Rafting and Hodosan Ropeway.
