Nisshin Industry Co. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshiya Kawanishi) has renewed the Zinc Plus Series, which is not subject to the Special Chemicals Law or the Organic Law, and will begin sales of the Zinc Plus Neo Series sequentially on October 12, 2023.

Recently, there has been a shift to environmentally friendly paints that comply with the "PRTR Law," "Special Chemicals Law," and "Organic Law" for reasons such as worker health considerations, promotion of ISO activities, and on-site labor inspections.

All three laws are designed to prevent worker health hazards and environmental destruction caused by hazardous chemical substances, and are necessary to protect human health and ecosystems. For companies that use paints, stricter regulations on toluene and xylene can be a major burden in terms of work efficiency and costs.

We have been developing the Zinc Plus series, which is exempt from the PRTR Law, the Law Concerning Special Chemical Substances Control, and the Organic Law, and have decided to renew it as the Zinc Plus Neo series to further improve both performance and workability.

We will continue to focus on the development of environmentally friendly products that will become mainstream, and will continue to release products that adapt to the changing times.

Details of the renewal

From acrylic resin-based to epoxy resin-based

All of our zinc paints use epoxy resins, but since the resins themselves contain xylene, they fall under the Special Chemicals Law and the Organic Law. Now that we have a manufacturing prospect for epoxy resin, which is not subject to the Special Chemical Substances Control Law and the Organic Law, we are able to use epoxy resin for all our products.

Aerosol capacity has been increased to 420 ml.

The size of the aerosol has been increased in response to many requests, and the spray volume has also been adjusted.

The new aerosol contributes to workability as it requires fewer sprays to reach the specified film thickness.

New lineup "Zinc Plus Neo A" has been added.

Considering that environmentally friendly products will become the mainstream in the future, we have added a new product to the lineup to facilitate the transition when switching from the current products.

The new product lineup offers a greater selection of finish colors to match the condition of the steel and the repaired area.
