Japan is facing a major social issue of "frozen assets due to dementia" with the advent of a super-aged society.

The increase in the number of elderly people combined with the rise in average life expectancy has led to an estimated 6.3 million people suffering from dementia as of 2020, and this figure is expected to exceed 10 million by 2050. 1
