Kirameki Agency, Inc (Representative: Sanae Matsumoto), a Japanese performance theater company, is holding a campaign offering free admission to night performances of Nikko Momiji-za for guests staying at hotels in Nikko City until the end of August 2023, the summer vacation season.

■Campaign for free night show (for tourists: August 2023 / for local residents: September 7, 2023)

A campaign offering free admission to evening performances for guests staying at hotels in Nikko City is currently underway until the end of August 2023, the summer vacation season. Present your hotel's receipt or screenshot of reservation info at the ticket counter for free admission.

In addition, in order to let local residents know about the performance, we are offering an invitation campaign for the night show on Thursday, September 7, 2023 for people in Nikko City. We have responded to the requests from people who want to see the performance to introduce them to their acquaintances, friends, and tourists walking around the city.

*Booking by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the event is required for both campaigns. We ask for your cooperation in filling out a short questionnaire and posting word-of-mouth on social networking sites.

On April 29, 2023, a new entertainment sightseeing fasilitie "Nikko Momiji-za" was open in Nikko.

Which has been the talk of the town since the arrival of Tobu Railway's new train "Spacia X" and the broadcast of the historical drama "Dosuru Ieyasu". It opened just a minute's walk from the World Heritage temple and shrine.

For the first time in three years, there are no restrictions on activities during the summer vacation. Please visit "Nikko Momiji-za".

Enjoy Japanese dance shows and period dramas just a minute's walk from Nikko's World Heritage temples and shrines!

The concept of the theater is "to bring Japanese entertainment to tourists from all over the world.

Visitors can enjoy innovative dance shows and period drama performances of "Taishu Engeki" which was derived from kabuki in the Edo period and has evolved in different forms to meet the ever-changing tastes of the common people.

■Brighten up the dark night streets of Nikko! Playhouses that offer night performances

It is also an entertainment spot that brightens up the night streets of Nikko, where few stores are open for business.

You can often see guests staying overnight without meals walking around Nikko looking for a place to eat. We offer a 40-minute dance show performance at 8:00 p.m. so that guests staying at nearby hotels can enjoy it after dinner.

*Reservations must be made by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the show.

■We want to bring Japanese entertainment to visitors coming to Nikko from all over the world.

Dance shows that can be enjoyed regardless of language are popular among inbound visitors.

One minute a male actor dances as Tachiyaku(Mens style), and a few minutes later he is dancing as Onnagata(Female style), or dancing a folk song in Haori Hakama, and the next he is performing HIPHOP dance to trendy music. The audience cheered loudly each time the actors changed their appearance one after another.

After the performance, the actors and actresses come out to see each audience member off at the theater exit, waving to them, calling out to them, and taking commemorative photos with them.

First-time theatergoers often comment that they are surprised at how close they feel to the actors.

In front row seating, the actors stand on nearby your toes and you can smell their perfume.
