Many Japanese women, who are said to be good at makeup, still lack confidence in their eyebrow design. In order to investigate the actual situation, we conducted a survey among women in their 20s to 50s who are highly interested in makeup and beauty. The following are the results. Internet survey

Question 1: Have you ever had trouble with eyebrow design in your makeup? (N=962 persons)

28.5% (274 persons) answered "to a great extent" and 31.2% (300 persons) answered "yes," for a total of 59.7% (574 persons), while 13.3% (128 persons) answered "almost never" and 15.5% (149 persons) answered "never," for a total of 28.8% (277 persons). It can be seen that many respondents have had problems with eyebrow design.

48.3% (277 persons) answered that "the shape is different on the left and right sides," 15.2% (87 persons) answered that "the shape is snobby," and 13.6% (78 persons) answered that "long or unwanted hairs are difficult to deal with. We found that there were various other concerns that people had.

Other (free answer): "I don't know what shape of eyebrows suits me," "I don't know the right shape or thickness of eyebrows," and "I can't draw them well.

11.7% (113 persons) answered, "I have had a professional make-up artist do my eyebrows at a wedding or other occasions," and 9.3% (89 persons) answered, "I have been to an eyebrow salon or make-up salon several times. On the other hand, 59.5% (572 respondents) overwhelmingly answered "none of the above".

Even in Japan, a country known for its advanced beauty industry, where a wide range of cosmetics can be easily purchased through a variety of sales channels, we found that many women place great importance on eye makeup and are concerned about eyebrow design, an important aspect of eyebrow design. On the other hand, we found that many have never experienced eyebrow design, including eyebrow cutting by a professional.

Because eyebrow makeup is difficult, the manager of Karen Eyebrow Design hopes to increase opportunities for people to have their eyebrows styled by professionals and receive advice on how to design eyebrows that suit them and how to do it themselves.
