Grand Prix in the General Section

The 8th Recycle Art Exhibition, held last year, received many entries, and 19 works that passed the preliminary screening and 4 works that received the judges' special awards were exhibited at the Sapporo Ekimae-dori Underground Walking Space for 3 days from October 7 (Fri.) to 9 (Sun.), 2022. The Grand Prix in the general category was awarded to Mei Yamaguchi's "S.O.S.". The work gave a strong life force to unnecessary items and foreshadowed a new era in which the unique qualities of materials are fully utilized.

The artwork, which conveyed the importance of recycling in an attractive manner, made us feel the increased awareness of the SDGs, and gave us hope for a new era of thinking about the future of the earth.

About the "Recycle Art Exhibition

The Recycle Art Exhibition began with the idea of "making people more aware of the importance of recycling. The Recycled Art Exhibition was started with the idea of "making people more aware of recycling." By using materials that are no longer in use and allowing the creators to breathe their own creative life into them as works of art, the exhibition communicates the possibilities of recycling and the importance of the environment for the future.

The Recycle Art Exhibition Executive Committee aims to contribute to the realization of a recycling-oriented society by organizing art events with the theme of recycling through the cooperation of government, schools, and businesses.

Saturday, September 16: Preliminary judging

September 20 (Wed.): Announcement of preliminary screening results (Results will be posted on the website.)

Those who pass the preliminary screening will be contacted by the Recycled Art Exhibition Executive Committee Secretariat between September 20 (Wed.) and September 26 (Tue.) with details regarding the exhibition, including the schedule for the rest of the year, delivery, and other details.

October 28 (Sat): Final judging (to be announced at the exhibition and on the website)

Please be sure to read and agree to the following before submitting your entry.

If the applicant is a minor, a "parental consent form" is required. 1.

1. The copyright belongs to the artist, but the Recycled Art Exhibition Executive Committee and the MATECH Group reserve the right to use the copyright for publicity purposes, such as publication in printed materials and on websites. 2.

2. personal information will be used to receive entries and inquiries, to notify the results of judging, to return documents, and for other matters deemed necessary in the course of competition operations, as well as to provide information for the next and subsequent editions of the competition. In principle, personal information will not be used for any other purpose or provided to any third party without the consent of the entrant, except as required by law. 3.

(3) The names, ages, biographies, and images of entrants may be published in printed materials, on our website, and in the media. (4) The exhibition venue is a public space.

(4) As the exhibition venue is a public space, visitors may take photographs of the works.

(5) If your work passes the preliminary screening, you must be able to exhibit your work in the exhibition.

(6) Please confirm in advance that your work does not infringe on the copyright or intellectual property rights of any third party and that you have obtained permission to use the copyright before submitting your work.

7. Please refer to the "Privacy Policy" of the Recycled Art Exhibition Executive Committee Secretariat, EMS Co.

8. the prize money will be paid net of withholding and other taxes.

The organizer will take all possible precautions to prevent accidents, such as assigning security guards to manage and protect the exhibition venue. However, the organizer will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from any cause, including but not limited to theft, loss, damage, or personal injury caused by exhibited works, etc. (10) The organizer will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from force majeure, such as natural disasters.
