Eight Knot Co.((Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo / CEO: Yasushi Yonaiyama) has launched the "SanLet's" system, a live wedding streaming service, to domestic and international bridal businesses on April 1, 2022. SanLet's" is a service that enables online wedding attendance through live-streaming and a 3-day video storage period. Until now, this service was only available to those who had signed contracts with our affiliated wedding venues. However, we decided to sell this service to bridal business operators in Japan and abroad in order to promote it as a new type of wedding service in After Corona.

Background of the development of the "SanLet's" live wedding ceremony streaming service
In the Corona Disaster, the bride and groom were unable to hold their wedding ceremony as planned, and both the bride and groom and the business were in a difficult situation. In this situation, as one of the ways to support brides and grooms who did not want to give up on their weddings, we started a real-time wedding ceremony streaming service for those who were unable to attend the ceremony onsite. Based on the feedback we received from brides and grooms and customers who watched the streaming, we have completed the "SanLet's" service, which, in addition to real-time streaming, includes the ability to watch recordings, send messages from online attendees, and send congratulatory gift money. We realized that adding the option to attend a wedding online would enrich the wedding experience.
In Bifora Corona, there was a trend of decreasing the number of people attending weddings and increasing the number of "nasi-married" couples who did not hold weddings. The Corona disaster has accelerated this trend, and we do not expect it to completely reverse in the future. To accommodate such needs, we are proposing a new option for wedding attendance.
Real weddings have become an intimate time spent with family and other truly close people. Online wedding ceremonies, which are easy to participate in, provide an opportunity to report and express gratitude to a wide range of friends and distant relatives with whom you would like to stay in touch. SanLet's" is a platform that allows many people to easily participate online and share their feelings of celebration. Eightknot will continue to promote the new wedding style of online attendance, aiming to enrich real life through digital connections.
Features of the "SanLet's" service
1. live-streaming of the wedding ceremony
Live streaming of the wedding ceremony will be provided. Online attendees do not need to download an application, but can connect to a dedicated site to watch the ceremony. Since no video is streamed from the attendee's side, there is no need to worry about where to watch or what to wear. 2.
2. attendees can express their congratulations with stamps
Attendees can express their feelings with stamps when watching and participating in the live-streaming. By sending stamps such as heart marks, crying faces, applause, and flower showers, online attendees can create a sense of unity amongst themselves and their loved ones.
3. 3-day storage of wedding video including stamps
The video, including the stamps that the attendees stamped during the live-streaming, will be saved and can be viewed as many times as you like until 23:59 on the third day after the live-streaming date. Even attendees who are not available during the live-streaming time can watch the video at their favorite time during the storage period. The bride and groom can also view the saved video after the ceremony and enjoy the aftermath of the ceremony.
4. online invitations
Invitations can be easily sent via email or SNS by copying the invitation URL from the bride and groom's dedicated management screen. Since attendees access the site through a dedicated site that they register for individual accounts, security is assured.
5. sending messages and congratulatory gifts on the attendee site
Attendees can send messages to the bride and groom through the attendance site. They can also send a congratulatory gift electronically, allowing them to express their feelings of congratulations to the couple online in the same way they would normally do at a wedding.
6. no initial cost
The bride and groom can use the "SanLet's" service at no initial cost. (Service usage fees will be charged for some functions.)
Needs for Online Wedding Services
According to the Zexy Marriage Trend Survey 2021, 82.0% of respondents answered that they would like to "meet in person and spend time together" when reporting their marriage to their closest friends and family in the item asking about their thoughts on weddings and community. On the other hand, 71.7% of respondents agreed with the question, "It is OK if the report is made online" if the couple cannot meet in person to report their marriage due to their partner's circumstances, suggesting a high level of acceptance of online participation.
<Perspectives on weddings and community [single answer
When reporting marriage to people close to me, I would like to meet them in person and spend time with them.
...agree 82.0% disagree 4.6
If I cannot report my marriage in person due to the other person's circumstances, it is OK to report online (e.g., illness, living far away from home, childbirth)
...agree 71.7% disagree 12.8
From Zexy Marriage Trend Survey 2021
However, among the 56.8% of brides and grooms who were aware of the "partially online implementation style," only 41.2% actually considered it and 15.1% went so far as to implement it. The majority (59.4%) of brides and grooms did not adopt the service because they wanted to meet and spend time with their guests in person, but it seems that misunderstanding and anxiety due to the service not yet penetrating the market prevented implementation, such as not feeling it necessary, not being suggested by the venue, worrying about mechanical problems on the day, and troublesome preparations. It seems that misconceptions and anxiety due to the fact that the service has not yet penetrated the market are preventing its implementation.
